So here we are. The end of a grueling 2009. This is what we've been waiting for …right? We all thought if we could just hang on through a tough 2009, 2010 would magically cure whatever was ailing us.
If that's still you're line of thinking, then you better keep your fingers crossed, rub that rabbit's foot, and keep chanting those affirmations. The "wait and see" strategy may have been a plausible excuse during 2009 but it will be the kiss of death in 2010.
Hope is not a strategy, so during 2010 you had better be making plans to change. When that ball drops in NY Times Square and you make a toast, NOTHING HAPPENS. You will come into the office on January 4, 2010 and there won't be more cash in the account and customers won't be lined up to buy from you just because it's 2010.
Time does NOT change things. But YOU can.
